Mutton Kuruma

















Ingredient
Meat - 1 lb  
Potatoes(optional) - 3medium cut into cubes
Coconut Paste - 1/2cup  
Cloves - 3nos
Cinnamon - 2medium size stick 
Bay leaves - 2nos
Fennel seeds - 1tsp 
Peppercorns - 10 in counts 
Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp( soaked in hot water & make into paste)  
Onion - 3medium size(chopped) 
Tomato - 3medium(chopped) 
Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp  
Garam Masala - 1/2tsp  
cumin seeds - 1/2tsp  
Ginger-Garlic paste - 1tbsp 
Oil - 5tsp  
Coriander leaves for garnishing 
Salt
Instructions
1. Cut the meat in small square pieces and cut the potato into 4. Soak the poppy seeds in hot water for 10 minutes and make it paste.
2. Roast the cumin seeds and peppercorns for 2or 3 minutes and powder them.
3. Marinate the meat pieces in poppy seed paste,ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder,garam masala, salt.
4. Now, heat the oil in a pressure cooker. Add Fennel seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon, Bay leaves and fry them.
5. Put the onion and fry till golden brown and then add tomato. Cook the tomato till oil separates.
6. Add the marinated meat and potato to the masala and fry them for 5 minutes.Close the cooker and pressure it till the meat becomes soft.
7. Now, add the peppercorn and cumin seeds powder and coconut paste to the meat and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Finally, garnish it with Coriander leaves.
8. Serve the meat kurma with Rice, Roti, Puri.
