Ingredients
- Thoor dal - 1/2cup
- Brinjal - 3(cut in medium)
- Drumstick - 4 small pieces
- Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
- Sambar - 2 1/2tbsp
- Asafetida - 1/2tsp
- Onion - 1medium size
- Tomato - 2medium size
- Fenugreek seeds - 1/2tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2tsp
- Tamarind extract - 1tsp
Instruction
- Pressure toor dal to 2 whistles. Add the vegetables, turmeric powder and cook for 10 minutes.
- Then add the coriander powder, chilli powder, Asafetida you cook for 10 minutes.
- Now heat the oil in a separate pan and add the Fenugreek seeds, Mustard seeds and fry.
- Then add the onion and fry till golden brown & then add tomato and cook for 5 minutes.
- Now add the dal and cook for 5 minutes. Sambar is ready.
- Garnish it with Coriander leaves and Curry leaves.
- Serve hot with Rice.
