Crispy Bitter Gourd

When comes to crispy food there will be no family who doesn't like it from pakoras to chips it's everyones favorite.

When it comes to bitter gourd it is a boring vegetable and it diffcult to feed it to kids and among adults too. Crispy bitter gourd will be one of the best way to make this boring vgetable into intresting one. I added some onions to make it more intresting. When adding rice flour to the vegetable it will give a nice crispy crunch when you deep fry.When you deep fry you won't taste the sharp bitterness.  

We can make it as a side to a sambar sadam, bisibelabath or even it can be a crispy evening snacks. If you deep fry and after it is cool down a bit put it in a air tight container, you can store up to one week. For healthier version you can even oven roast it. You won't be getting that cruch which you get it in deep frying but, can be healthier.  
  
Ingredients
  • Bitter gourd -  4medium nos (chopped into round size pieces)
  • Onion - 1large no (chopped long ways)
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 1/2tbsp
  • Chili powder - 1tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp 
  • Garam masala - 1/2tsp
  • Rice flour - 2tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions 
  • Add all the ingredients ina large bowl and mix well. Keep it for marination for 1 hour.
  • After 1 hour heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry the onion bitter gourd to crisp.
  • serve hot.
