Try this kale and pasipayaru poriyal, it will your regular poriyal in your house for sure. Just need 15mins to make the poriyal and it goes with everything like roti, chapati, paratha, and white rice. You can just have the poriyal with white rice without any gravy with a spoon of a pickle.
- Kale - 1 small bunch
- Moong dal - 3/4 cup (washed & soaked for 20mins)
- Onion - 2 medium size
- Mustard seeds - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Dry red chili - 2-3 nos
- Garlic - 7-8 cloves (crushed)
- shredded coconut - 1/2 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - As needed
Instructions
- Heat oil in a Kadai, splutter the mustard seeds then add the crushed garlic and dry red chilies.
- Add the soaked moong dal with the 1 cup of water.
- Now, add the salt, turmeric, and cumin seeds and till the kale is cooked soft.
- Add the shredded coconut to the kale. cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice, chapati.
Tips- You can use any kind of greens.
